Dorothy Wegman performed in Ziegfeld's 1927-1928 musical Rio Rita. In 1927, while appearing that show, she was given the diminutive Dorshka by Marion Benda, a well-known Ziegfeld beauty, and the name stuck. According to the theatre program, she also performed in the Ziegfeld Follies of 1925 (Jan 1926, Forrest Theatre, Phil PA). She died in 2005 at 100 years old.

Although not listed in ibdb, the photo I have of her is signed: Jean White "Sally" Co. 1924. I also have the verso, which is a long hand-written note by her that states she had been with Ziegfeld for two seasons at that time, was one of Florenz Ziegfeld's special girls, and was practically in the whole show and spending much time practicing her singing and dancing.

She performed as Imogene Wilson in the Ziegfeld Follies of 1923. She later changed her name to Mary Nolan and worked under that name as a film actress.
