PORTABLE PLANETARIUM
PROGRAM
The portable planetarium program brings to you the sky as it appears the night of the day I visit your school. Your students will experience the night sky and all that is going on. Locating planets and constellations as well as the Big Dipper will be done. Several facts about the Big Dipper as seen from the eyes of various cultures will be discussed. A wonderful story about the Big Dipper from a Native American tale is shared with the students. Following the program star charts are given to
each student with an explanation on how to use them. Each program last one half hour. The inflatable planetarium can hold up to 25 students including the teacher and one aide.
Cost: Reduced price for schools. $60.00 per class with a three class minimum (Travel costs extra if the school is beyond 25 miles from Tucson)
